2 days in Paris – Visit Paris in 48 hours

Bonjour, mes amis! Last weekend I went to Paris and I am still fascinated by the beautiful streets, shops, and buildings. Even though it rained most of the time, the magnificent city keeps its charm. As I like to see every beautiful corner of Paris, I thought it would be a great idea to walk along the main sights so I wouldn’t miss any stunning spot.

Bonjour, mes amis! Letztes Wochenende war ich in Paris und ich bin immer noch fasziniert von den schönen Straßen, Geschäften und Gebäuden. Obwohl es die meiste Zeit regnete, behielt die prächtige Stadt ihren Charme. Da ich jede schöne Ecke von Paris sehen wollte, dachte ich, dass es eine gute Idee wäre, die Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten von Paris zu Fuß zu gehen, damit ich keinen atemberaubenden Ort verpasse.

First Day

Starting Point: Notre Dame de Paris

On the small island called “Île de la Cité”, which is the oldest part of Paris, you will find many sights. Just cross one of nine bridges to reach the island. The bridge, Pont Neuf, is well known as oldest preserved bridge over the Seine in Paris.

Walk to the most famous sight on the island, the cathedral, “Notre-Dame de Paris”. In 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte crowned himself as emperor at the cathedral. Afterwards, you can take a trip to the Justice Palace, the Saint Chapelle, and the Conciergerie. These sights are located very close to the cathedral.

Ausgangspunkt: Notre Dame de Paris

Auf der kleinen Insel “Île de la Cité”, auch bekannt als der älteste Teil von Paris, findet ihr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten. Überquert nur eine von neun Brücken, um die Insel zu erreichen. Die Brücke, Pont Neuf, ist bekannt als älteste erhaltene Brücke über die Seine in Paris.

Gelangt zu der berühmtesten Sehenswürdigkeit auf der Insel, der Kathedrale “Notre-Dame de Paris”. 1804 krönte sich Napoleon Bonaparte selbst als Kaiser an der Kathedrale. Danach könnt ihr einen Ausflug zum Justizpalast, zur Saint Chapelle und zur Conciergerie machen. Diese Sehenswürdigkeiten befinden sich ganz in der Nähe der Kathedrale.

Musée du Louvre

To get to Musée du Louvre, cross the Seine and walk along its bank. Lovers should make a stop at “Pont des Arts” to hang a loving chin at the bridge. Did you know that the chins will be removed after some time? Why? Otherwise the bridge would break down because of the chins weight.

We are approaching the next highlight of Paris, probably the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre. Outside, you will immediately be struck by the famous glass pyramid. It stands in front of the Palais du Louvre, the former residence of many French kings. The famous museum exhibits paintings like the Mona Lisa.

Um zum Musée du Louvre zu gelangen, überquert wieder die Seine und geht auf jeden Fall am Ufer entlang. Liebende sollten bei “Pont des Arts” anhalten, um ein Liebesschloss an der Brücke aufzuhängen. Wusstet ihr, dass die Schlösser nach einiger Zeit entfernt werden? Warum? Ansonsten würde die Brücke wegen des Gewichts einbrechen.

Wir nähern uns dem nächsten Höhepunkt von Paris, vermutlich das berühmteste Museum der Welt: das Louvre. Draußen erkennt man sofort die berühmte Glaspyramide. Sie steht vor dem Palais du Louvre, der ehemaligen Residenz vieler französischer Könige. Das berühmte Museum zeigt Gemälde wie die Mona Lisa.

Place de la Concorde

From the museum, you can walk through the Jardin des Tuileries, the former palace garden. Take a break on one of benches in the garden or have a coffee at a Café. Not far away you will see the Place de la Concorde, the place of unity, with its 22-meter-high Obelisk from Luxor. It is the largest square in Paris, and is well known for the fact that, in the time of the French Revolution in 1792, King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette, as well as almost 1200 other people, were killed by the Guillotine.

Vom Museum aus könnt ihr durch den Jardin des Tuileries, den ehemaligen Palastgarten, laufen. Macht eine Pause auf einer der Bänke im Garten oder genießt einen Kaffee in einem Café. Nicht weit entfernt seht ihr den Place de la Concorde, den Ort der Einheit, mit seinem 22 Meter hohen Obelisk von Luxor. Es ist der größte Platz in Paris und ist bekannt für die Tatsache, dass in der Zeit der Französischen Revolution, im Jahre 1792, König Ludwig XVI. und Königin Marie Antoinette, sowie fast 1200 andere Menschen, von der Guillotine getötet wurden.

Avenue des Champs-Élysées

Don’t spend too much time at place de la Concorde, as you don’t want to miss the famous and exclusive shopping street in Paris! Before you actually reach the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, you stroll through the tree-lined boulevard, the Le Palais de l’Élysée, the Élysée Palace, will soon be on your right. This is the seat of the President, who also lives here. On the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, you will not only pass the shops of world-famous designers but also the famous Varieté Lido. The theatre is one of the most famous in Paris.

Verbringt nicht zu viel Zeit am Place de la Concorde, da ihr die berühmte und exklusive Einkaufsstraße in Paris nicht verpassen solltet! Bevor ihr die Avenue des Champs-Élysées erreicht, schlendert ihr durch den Boulevard, und das Le Palais de l’Élysée, das Schloss Élysée, wird bald auf der rechten Seite zu sehen sein. Das ist der Sitz des Präsidenten, der auch hier lebt. Auf der Avenue des Champs-Élysées passiert ihr nicht nur die Geschäfte weltberühmter Designer, sondern auch die berühmte Varieté Lido. Das Theater ist eines der berühmtesten in Paris.

I have heard that the best Macarons in Paris are at Ladurée on the Champs-Elysées. So, we tried them and we can confirm that they are really tasty but we did not like to wait that long for a seat as it is an exclusive café.

Ich habe gehört, dass die besten Macarons in Paris bei Ladurée auf den Champs-Elysées sind. Also haben wir sie ausprobiert und wir können bestätigen, dass sie wirklich lecker sind, aber wir haben es nicht gemocht, so lange auf einen Platz zu warten, da es sich um ein exklusives Café handelt.

L’Arc de Triomphe

At the end of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, you won’t miss the arcade Arc de Triomphe, which is 50 meters high, on Place Charles de Gaulle. The monument is one of the landmarks of the city; under the archway, you will find the tomb of the unknown soldier, which is to remind us of all the fallen and unknown buried soldiers of the First World War. The Arc de Triomphe is famous for its multi-lane roundabout, which is also the final stage of the Tour de France cycling race. Look at the colorful activity at the Arc de Triomphe for a few minutes, or visit the viewing platform on the monument.

Am Ende der Avenue des Champs-Élysées verpasst ihr nicht den Arc de Triomphe, der 50 Meter hoch ist, am Place Charles de Gaulle. Das Denkmal ist eines der Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Unter dem Torbogen befindet sich das Grabmal des unbekannten Soldaten, der an alle gefallenen und unbekannten vergrabenen Soldaten des Ersten Weltkriegs erinnern soll.

Besucht auf jeden Fall die Aussichtsplattform auf dem Denkmal.

La Tour Eiffel

From L’Arc de Triomphe, we took the metro to get to Tour Eiffel but you can also walk. Whichever you prefer!

The Eiffel Tower is the landmark of Paris. In the evening, it also starts to glitter. Thousands of observers cheer, clap, and sigh. A phenomenal picture! If you also want to climb up the Eiffelturm, you can take the elevator towards the upper floor for 17 €.

Von L’Arc de Triomphe nahmen wir die Metro bis zum Tour Eiffel, aber man kann auch zu Fuß gehen.

Der Eiffelturm ist das Wahrzeichen von Paris. Am Abend fängt er an zu glänzen. Tausende von Beobachtern jubeln und klatschen. Ein phänomenales Bild! Wenn ihr auch den Eiffelturm hinaufsteigen möchtet, könnt ihr den Aufzug in Richtung Obergeschoss für 17 € nehmen.

Dauer 3 – 5 Stunden

Start your morning like a queen or king and visit the Château de Versailles. Explore the biggest European palace building and its beautiful garden. Go as early as you can to the palace, otherwise the queue can be very long and it takes about one hour to get in. The transport pass does not include the transport from Paris to the palace. It is around 3,50€ each way. If you are a bigger group, just order an UBER.

Beginnt euren Morgen wie eine Königin oder König und besucht das Château de Versailles. Entdeckt das größte europäische Palastgebäude und seinen schönen Garten. Geht so früh wie möglich zum Palast, sonst kann die Warteschlange sehr lang sein und es dauert etwa eine Stunde, um hereinzukommen.

Der Transportpass beinhaltet nicht den Transport von Paris zum Palast. Es kostet ca. 3,50 € für jede Strecke. Wenn ihr eine größere Gruppe seid, bestellt einfach ein UBER.

Afterwards, you should definitely go back to Sacré-Coeur de Montramarte. Take a walk through the lovely quarter with its unique shops and restaurants.

Danach solltet ihr auf jeden Fall zu Sacré-Coeur de Montramarte zurückkehren. Macht einen Spaziergang durch das schöne Viertel mit seinen einzigartigen Geschäften und Restaurants.

The view from the church above Paris is unbelievable! I could have stayed there for the whole day.

If you want to see Moulin Rouge as well, just take the train to get there. I could not visit it this time as I had to leave to catch my plane back home. This route is also included in the transport pass! If you don’t miss your train, are late, and have to take a taxi. 😉

Der Blick von der Kirche über Paris ist unglaublich! Ich hätte den ganzen Tag dort bleiben können.

Wenn du Moulin Rouge auch sehen möchtest, nehmt einfach den Zug, um dorthin zu gelangen. Ich konnte es dieses Mal nicht besuchen, da ich gehen musste, um mein Flugzeug nach Hause zu bekommen. Diese Strecke ist auch im Transportpass enthalten! Wenn ihr euren Zug nicht verpasst, spät dran seid und ein Taxi nehmen müsst (so wie ich). 😉

Where to stay?

If you have not booked a hotel yet, I highly recommend the hotel Chaplain Rive Gauche! Why? You have everything you need at and around the hotel! A Starbucks is just a minute away but French cafés or a supermarket are just a little further away. The bus and metro is only 2 minutes walking distance away! Additionally, one main attraction, Montaparnasse, is only 800m away!

Wenn ihr noch kein Hotel gebucht habt, empfehle ich das Hotel Chaplain Rive Gauche! Warum? Ihr habt alles was ihr braucht in der Nähe! Ein Starbucks ist nur eine Minute entfernt, aber auch unzählige französische Cafés oder ein Supermarkt sind nur ein wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Auch zum Bus und zur U-Bahn dauert es nur 2 Minuten! Darüber hinaus ist die Attraktion Montaparnasse nur 800m von dem Hotel entfernt!

The comfortable rooms offer a great bed; some of them have a balcony and they are all very clean! The stuff is more than helpful and friendly! We enjoyed the typical French breakfast during our stay!

Die komfortablen Zimmer verfügen nicht nur über ein tolles Bett! Einige von ihnen haben auch einen Balkon! Alle Zimmer sind sehr sauber und ordentlich! Das Personal ist mehr als hilfsbereit und freundlich! Wir haben das traditionelle französische Frühstück während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr genossen!

I totally forgot to mention that the minibar is for free and rooms are available from 108€ to 183€.

Ich habe ganz vergessen zu erwähnen, dass die Minibar kostenlos ist und man die Zimmer schon ab 108 € buchen kann.

Gigi & Bella Hadid, Tommy Hilfiger, George Clooney and his wife, all well-known Victoria Secret Angels, and Mischa Barton were already at Lapérouse in the centre of Paris. Last weekend I was in Paris for the Fashion Week and after a long day, I was lucky to have an excellent dinner at Lapérouse.

Gigi & Bella Hadid, Tommy Hilfiger, George Clooney und seine Frau, alle bekannten Victoria Secret Engel und Mischa Barton – ihr fragt euch, warum ich euch diese Namen aufzähle? Sie alle waren bereits in Lapérouse im Zentrum von Paris. Letztes Wochenende war ich in Paris für die Fashion Week und nach einem langen Tag war ich sehr glücklich, ein ausgezeichnetes Abendessen im Restaurant Lapérouse genießen zu dürfen.

The restaurant Lapérouse is not only today a hotspot for celebrities but also around 1850, it was the meeting place of the literary, political and artistic. The 250 year old restaurant is not just well-known because of its guests but also because of its outstanding cuisine and its historic interior furnishing.

Lapérouse ist nicht nur heute ein Hotspot für Stars & Sternchen, sondern auch um 1850 war es DER Treffpunkt der literarischen, politischen und künstlerischen Persönlichkeiten. Das 250 Jahre alte Restaurant ist nicht nur wegen seiner Gäste bekannt, sondern auch auf Grund seiner hervorragenden Küche und historischen Inneneinrichtung.

Private Rooms

First of all, I was overwhelmed by the wood panelling, the wall paintings, and the luxurious furnishing. A very nice lady welcomed us at the main entrance and brought us to the bar for an aperitif. Afterwards, she accompanied us to our table.

I have never had so much privacy during my dinner as I had last weekend. In our lovely room, with around four tables, we could look at the Seine and enjoy the romantic atmosphere. If you prefer to have dinner for two or with a few more people, you also have the choice to have one of the stunning rooms for yourself. The charming and very friendly waiter went through the whole menu with us and made brilliant recommendations! We could not have had a better wine and main course selection.

Zuerst wurde ich von der Holzverkleidung, den Wandmalereien und der luxuriösen Einrichtung überwältigt. Eine sehr nette Dame begrüßte uns an der Haupttüre und brachte uns an die stilvoll eingerichtete Bar für einen Aperitif. Danach begleitete sie uns zu unserem Tisch.

Ich hatte noch nie so viel Privatsphäre während meines Abendessens, wie ich es am letzten Wochenende hatte. Unser Zimmer war schön eingerichtet und verfügte über rund vier Tische, und war mit einem Ausblick auf die Seine gekrönt. Hier konnten wir gemütlich die romantische Atmosphäre genießen. Wenn du es vorziehst zu zweit oder zu mehreren einen Raum für euch alleine zu reservieren, habt ihr auch die Wahl, eines der atemberaubenden Zimmer auszusuchen und zu reservieren. Der charmante und sehr freundliche Kellner ging mit uns durch die ganze Speisekarte und machte brillante Empfehlungen! Wir hätten keinen besseren Wein oder eine bessere Auswahl an Gängen haben können.

Our four course menu, which could also be called an eye catcher, demonstrated not just considerable cooking skills but also presentation skills. You have either the option to eat a la carte or go for a menue. We asked if we could get surprised with every course and it was more than just a surprise! A palate pleasure!

My absolute highlight was the dessert (as I love desserts 🙂 )! The Lapérouse Soufflé has been serverd for 124 years and made from praline with a caramel sauce. After the dinner, I was more than satisfied! I could not have had a better evening!

Unser 4-Gänge-Menü, das auch als Blickfang bezeichnet werden konnte, zeigte nicht nur umfangreiche Kochkünste, sondern auch Präsentationsfähigkeiten. Man hat entweder die Möglichkeit, à la carte zu essen oder sich für ein Menü zu entscheiden. Wir fragten, ob wir mit jedem Kurs überrascht werden könnten – und es war mehr als nur eine Überraschung! Ein wahrer Gaumengenuss! Mein absolutes Highlight war das Dessert (mein Lieblingsgang 🙂 )! Das Lapérouse Soufflé wird jetzt seit 124 Jahren serviert und aus Praline mit Karamelsauce hergestellt. Nach dem Abendessen war ich mehr als zufrieden! Ich hätte keinen besseren Abend haben können!

Brunch ganz ohne Arbeit? Geht echt leicht!

Ich habe vor einer Woche meine Freunde zum Brunch eingeladen und war einfach zu faul, um das Essen selbst zuzubereiten. Gott sei Dank habe ich den Frühstückslieferdienst EarlyTaste entdeckt. EarlyTaste bietet viele verschiedene Produkte an, aus denen mal eine oder mehrere Portionen auswählen kann. Ich habe mich für “Der Klassiker”, “Das Katerfrühstück”,”Fit in den Tag” und “Das Wikingerfrühstück” entschieden. Außerdem habe ich noch den “Smoothie Bowl” und einen “kleinen Früchtebecher” bestellt. Für alles zusammen habe ich ungefähr 60 Euro bezahlt.

A week ago, I had a brunch at my house because I was just too lazy to prepare it by myself. Thank goodness I discovered the breakfast delivery service EarlyTaste. EarlyTaste offers many different products with a selection between one or several servings. I chose “The classic”, “The hangover breakfast”, “Fit in the day” and “The Viking breakfast”. Also, I ordered the “Smoothie Bowl” and a “small fruit cup”. I paid about 60€ in total. Sounds a lot but honestly, totally worth it!

Das Frühstück ist da! – The breakfast arrived

Als dann alles angekommen war, ist mir zuerst aufgefallen, dass die Lebensmittel von EarlyTaste in 100% biologisch abbaubar Verpackungen transportiert worden sind. Auf seiner Internetseite wirbt das Unternehmen dafür, komplett recycelte Rohstoffe zur Verpackung zu verwenden, was ich durchaus bestätigen kann.
Das Frühstück bestand aus verschiedenen Backwaren wie Croissants und Körnerbrötchen, Aufstrichen wie Nuss Nougat Creme und Marmelade, Obst, Aufschnitt wie Wurst, Käse und Lachs, gekochten Eiern, Rührei, Bacon, Gemüse, einem Superfoods-Schichtjoghurt, dem Smoothie Bowl mit Superfood-Toppings, Honig, und vielem mehr. Bei solchen Massen lohnt sich der auf den ersten Blick recht hoch erscheinende Preis auf jeden Fall. Aber werden alle satt und am wichtigsten: schmeckt es auch?

When everything arrived, I noticed first that the food from EarlyTaste has been transported in 100% biodegradable packaging. On its website, the company promotes the use of completely recycled raw materials for packaging, which I definitely confirm.

The breakfast consisted of various pastries like croissants, grains, spreads like nut nougat cream and jam, fruits, cold cuts like sausage, cheese and salmon, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, vegetables, a superfood layer yoghurt, the smoothie bowl with superfood toppings, honey, and much more. For such masses, the price, which at first glance seems quite high, is definitely worth it. But will all be satisfied and most importantly: does it taste good?

Der Geschmackstest – Taste test

Gefrühstückt haben wir dann mit zwei hungrigen Frauen und zwei hungrigen Männern. Jeder hat einmal von allem probiert und alle sind mehr als satt geworden. Es sind sogar die Zusatzbestellungen, also der zusätzliche Smoothie Bowl und der kleine Fruchtbecher, übrig geblieben. Und zusätzlich hat auch alles wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt!

There were four people (2 women and 2 men) and we were all very hungry. Everyone tasted everything and we were all more than satisfied. The Smoothie Bowl and the small fruit beaker were leftover. In addition, everything really tasted very good!

Mein Fazit – My conclusion

Das EarlyTaste Frühstück lohnt sich nicht nur für Faule, sondern auch für Reisende, die zum Beispiel in einer AirBnb-Behausung wohnen und kein Frühstück vor Ort haben. Die fünfte Jahreszeit geht langsam zu Ende. Wer am Rosenmontagszug des Kölner Karnevals teilgenommen hat, weiß, dass das jecke Treiben nicht nur Spaß macht, sondern auch anstrengend ist. Zuerst einmal benötigt man das richtige Kostüm.

The fifth season is unfortunately coming to an end today… Anyone who has taken part in the Shrove Monday Procession of Cologne carnival knows that the hustle and bustle is not only fun but also exhausting. However, t is totally worth it! Even though I have a cold now. 😉

Als Frau will man natürlich auch verkleidet gut aussehen, deshalb habe ich mich für das Kostüm der sexy Zirkusdirektorin in den Farben Blau, Rot und Weiß, passend zu den Farben des Kölner Karnevals, entschieden. An den kälteren Tagen habe ich meinen langen Frack angezogen, damit es nicht so kalt wird. 🙂

Schwer wurde es dann erst, als ich mal zur Toilette musste. Männer haben es in dieser Beziehung so viel leichter. Sie können sich einfach an eine Hecke oder Ähnliches stellen und sich erleichtern. Bei uns Frauen ist das ein wenig komplizierter. Frauen müssen eine Toilette suchen, und wenn sie keine finden können, müssen sie sich irgendwo abseits der Leute auf den Straßen hinhocken. Gut, dass ich mir in weiser Voraussicht einen GoGirl angeschafft habe!

First of all, you need the right costume. As a woman, you also want to look well dressed, so I decided to go for the costume of the sexy circus director in the colours blue, red and white, matching the colours of the Cologne carnival. Outside, I preferred my tailcoat so that I did not get too cold.

It became difficult when I had to go to use the restroom. Men have it so much easier. You can simply stand by a hedge or something like that. As a woman, it is a little bit more complicated. Women have to look for a toilet and if they cannot find one, they have to squat down somewhere off the street. It was a good thing that I had bought myself a GoGirl in wise foresight!

Was ist ein GoGirl? – What is a GoGirl?

Bei GoGirl handelt es sich um eine trichterartige Urinierhilfe für Frauen. Es besteht aus flexible, hautfreundlichem Silikon und ermöglicht es, als Frau im Stehen die Blase zu leeren. Dazu muss man das GoGirl einfach nur eng anlegen und vielleicht ein bis zwei mal zu Hause üben. Der Hersteller wirbt damit, dass es in jede Handtasche passt und hygienisch ist.

GoGirl is a funnel-like urine aid for women. It is made of flexible, skin-friendly silicone and makes it possible to empty the bladder as a woman while standing. To do this, you just have to put the GoGirl up tight and practice it one or two times at home. The manufacturer promotes that it fits in every handbag and is hygienic.

Im Kölner Karneval hat es mir definitiv geholfen, GoGirl dabei gehabt zu haben. Ich musste nicht wie letztes Jahr verzweifelt eine Toilette suchen und dann mit einer dreckigen zufrieden geben, sondern konnte mich ganz diskret in den Büschen verstecken und hygienisch erleichtern.
GoGirl ist also für alle Outdooraktivitäten praktisch und weiterzuempfehlen!

During Cologne Carnival, it definitely helped me to have a GoGirl. I did not have to look for a toilet like last year and then take a dirty one but I could hide in the bushes very discreetly and hygienically. GoGirl is therefore practical and also recommendable for all outdoor activities!

Während meines Aufenthaltes in Zürich besuchte ich den Produktlaunch von Swisscom’s neuem Produkt „inOne“. Stargäste wie Fußballtrainer Uli Forte, YouTube-Bloggerin Ana Lisa Kohler und der Vollblutmusiker „Seven“ haben natürlich auch nicht gefehlt!

During my stay in Zurich, I visited the product launch of Swisscom’s new product “inOne”. Star guests like football coach Uli Forte, Youtube blogger Ana Lisa Kohler and the musician “Seven” were present!

Worum es auf der entspannten und modernen Medienkonferenz ging? Das fragt ihr euch mit Sicherheit schon seit meinem ersten Post von dem Swisscom Event. Das neue All-in-One- Angebot „inOne“ wurde veröffentlicht.

Was ist inOne? – What is inOne?

inOne macht es möglich, dass der Kunde nur noch das bezahlt, was er auch benutzt. Dementsprechend kann er sich nach dem Baukasten-Prinzip Internet, TV, Telefon und mobile Pakete selbst zusammenstellen. Empfängst du mit deinem Festnetzanschluss zuhause nur noch Telefonate, aber telefonierst nicht mehr damit?! Dann brauchst du auch keine Flatrate mehr buchen. Der Internetanschluss muss nicht zwingend mit einem TV-Angebot gebucht werden, sondern nur so, wie es dir passt!

Das inOne mobile Angebot ist schon ab April verfügbar und kann mit einem Berater, oder ganz einfach mit dem Online-Konfigurator, zusammengestellt werden!

InOne makes it possible for the customer to pay only for what he uses. Accordingly, you can assemble the Internet, TV, telephone and mobile packages according to the modular principle. Do you receive with your fixed net connection at home only telephone calls but you no longer call somebody with it? Then you do not need to book a flat rate for example. The internet connection does not necessarily have to be booked with a TV offer, but just the way it suits you!

The inOne mobile offer is already available starting from April on and can be put together with a consultant or simply with the online configurator!

Die Highlights des Abends – The highlights of the evening

Zusammenhalt war ein wichtiges Thema des Abends. Sowohl Uli Forte beschrieb den Teamspirit seines Fußballteams, als auch Sänger Seven plauderte aus dem Nähkästchen über die Verbundenheit seiner Band auf Touren. Bevor er uns allerdings von seinen amüsanten Busfahrten mit seinen Kollegen erzählte, performte er drei grandiose Songs auf der Bühne. Nach dem sehr unterhaltsamen Bühnenprogramm ging der Abend in ein Flying Dinner mit köstlichen Snacks über. Auch ich habe mich an diesem Abend bei der tollen Atmosphäre dazugehörig gefühlt. Wir waren All-in-One! #inOne

Cohesion was an important topic of the evening. Uli Fortedescribed the team spirit of his football team. Also, the singer, Seven told us about the bond of his band on tours. Before he told us about his amusing bus rides with his colleagues, he performed three grandiose songs on stage! After the very entertaining stage program, the evening went over into a flying dinner with delicious snacks. I also felt connected this evening with the great atmosphere. We were all-in-one! #inOne

Wo habe ich gewohnt? – Where did I live?

Zu einem stylischen Event gehört auch eine stylische Unterkunft.

Das Greulich Design & Lifestyle Hotel liegt im trendigen Kreis 4 in Zürich – nur einen Kilometer entfernt von der Nietturmbar und auch die Innenstadt ist nicht weit entfernt! Wer gerne mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs ist, kann die königsblauen Greulich Fahrräder vor der Tür kostenlos durch die Stadt führen.

In Herman’s Wohnzimmer, dem urbanen Café mit Bar, kann man angenehm sitzen, sich unterhalten oder aber auch Stunden am Laptop verbringen. Die Dekoration aus Holz und die zahlreichen Bücher tragen zum Wohlbefinden bei. Das großzügige Frühstücksbuffet und die freundlichen Mitarbeiter verleihen dem Aufenthalt den letzten Schliff.

Mein super gestyltes Zimmer war optimal für meinen kurzen Städtetrip. Von meinem Balkon konnte ich über Zürich schauen und obwohl ich im Hotel war, fühlte ich mich wie in meiner eigenen Stadtwohnung. Ein besonderes Lob für die hervorragende Internetverbindung, den ausgezeichneten Betten und die Sauberkeit.

Wer sich bei all dem nicht erholen kann, kann zur Entspannung noch einen Yoga Kurs im Haus besuchen!

A stylish event needs also a stylish accommodation. The Greulich Design & Lifestyle Hotel is located in the trendy Kreis 4 in Zurich. It is only one kilometer away from the Nietturmbar and also, the city centeris is not far away! If you‘ll like to go by bike, the royal blue breeches can lead you free of charge through the city.

In Herman’s living room, the urban café with bar, you can sit comfortably, talk, or even spend hours on the laptop. The decoration of wood and the numerous books contribute to the overall wonderful experience! The generous breakfast buffet and friendly staff will give you the finishing touches!

My super styled room was perfect for my short city trip! From my balcony, I could look over Zurich, and although I was in the hotel, I felt like I was in my own city apartment. A special praise for the excellent Internet connection, the excellent beds and the cleanliness.

If you can not relax with all this, you can visit the relaxing yoga course in the same building.

Hotel Atlantis Zürich, Zurich, Hotel Atlantis by Giardino

Vor Kurzem übernachtete ich im Atlantis Hotel by Giardino in Zürich, das über 95 Zimmer sowie über Business-Räume für Hochzeiten und Events verfügt.

I recently spent a few nights at the Atlantis Hotel by Giardino in Zurich, which had over 95 rooms, as well as business rooms for weddings and events.

Es ist mit der Bahn nur 10 Minuten vom Hauptbahnhof oder mit dem Auto 20 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt. Vor allem die tolle Lage des 5-Sterne-Hotels hat mich dazu bewegt, meinen Aufenthalt hier zu verbringen. Das Atlantis Hotel Zürich verbindet das städtische Flair mit einem ruhigen Standort am Waldrand des Üetlibergs.

It is only 10 minutes from the main train station or 20 minutes from the airport by car. Especially the great location of the five-star hotel made me want to spend my stay here. The Atlantis Hotel Zurich combines the urban flair with a quiet location on the edge of the forest of Üetliberg.

Komfortable Zimmer und Suiten – Comfortable rooms and suites

Ich habe ein Luxe-Doppelzimmer für rund 480 CHF pro Nacht mit großzügigen 40 Quadratmetern gewählt.

I have chosen a luxe double room for around 480 CHF per night with generous 40 square meters.

Toll ist die Suite Hublot 107, in die ich einen Blick werfen konnte, und die mit ihrem Design das Uhrenthema des gleichnamigen Schweizer Herstellers aufgreift. Dank der hochwertigen Innenarchitektur mit edlen Materialien wie Holz, Marmor und Stoffen habe ich mich in meinem Luxe-Zimmer sehr wohl gefühlt.

The modern suite called “Hublot 107”, which I could take a look in, is designed after the watch concept of the Swiss manufacturer with the same name. Thanks to the high-quality interior design with noble materials like wood, marble and fabrics, I felt very comfortable in my Luxe double room.

Eine Ausstattung mit Tablets, über welche die Menüfolge im Restaurant bestellt wird, hochmodernen Lichtschaltern und JBL-Anlagen, die sich per Bluetooth mit dem Smartphone verbinden lassen, bieten dir im Atlantis Hotel by Giardino allen Komfort. Kostenlose Getränke aus der Minibar und Snacks wie Chips, Mandeln, getrocknetes Obst und Schokolade versüßen dir den Tag. Mit einer Nespresso-Maschine kannst du dir deinen eigenen Kaffee zubereiten.

The Atlantis Hotel by Giardino offers all the following comforts: ordering the restaurant menu with a tablet, ultra-modern light switches and JBL systems, which can be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth. Das Frühstück wird dir auf Wunsch im Zimmer serviert oder du startest am reichhaltigen Buffet in deinen neuen Tag. Die entspannte Atmosphäre und das freundliche Personal haben ihr Übriges zu meinem Wohlgefühl beigetragen.

The breakfast is served in your room on request or you can start the rich buffet in your new day. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff have contributed to my well-being.

Besonders relaxen kannst du in dem wohltemperierten Jacuzzi des Spas im Atlantis Hotel Zürich. In den Sommermonaten lockt auch der 25 Meter lange Außenpool zum Badevergnügen. Kein anderes Fünf-Sterne-Hotel in Zürich verfügt über ein solch ein großzügiges Schwimmbad im Außenbereich. Ein 60-minütiges Treatment ist übrigens bei dem Day-Spa-Ticket inklusive.

Lukullische Sternegenüsse – Excellent award-winning cuisine

Den krönenden Abschluss meines Tages bildete ein Abendessen im Restaurant Hide & Seek. Eine andere Möglichkeit für ein ausgefallenes Abendessen ist das Gourmetlokal Ecco, das mit zwei Sternen des Guide Michelin ausgezeichnet wurde.

The culminating conclusion of my day was dinner at the Hide & Seek restaurant. Additionally, the hotel has the gourmet restaurant Ecco, which was awarded two Michelin stars.

Das Hide & Seek eignet sich hervorragend für das Casual Dining, denn es ist zugleich Bar und ein Ort, an dem Fusion großgeschrieben wird. In der Küche verschmelzen europäische Rezepte mit asiatischen Noten zu grandiosen Gerichten.

The Hide & Seek is ideal for casual dining, as it is both a bar and a fusion location. In the kitchen, European recipes with Asian touches merge into grandiose dishes.

Abschied – aber nicht für immer – Farewell – but not forever

Mit dem Shuttle des Atlantis Hotels by Giardino bin ich am nächsten Nachmittag zum Flughafen gebracht worden, nachdem ich noch den kostenlosen, stündlichen Transfer zum Bürkliplatz genutzt habe. Ein bisschen „Lädele“, wie die Schweizer zum Shoppen sagen, hat mir den Abschied etwas leichter gemacht. Bestimmt bin ich nicht zum letzten Mal im Atlantis Hotel Zürich gewesen!

The shuttle of the Atlantis Hotel by Giardino brought me to Bürkliplatz as the hourly transfer is also included in the room fee. This definitely will not be the last time I stay at the Atlantis Hotel Zurich!
