Flat Etoile31 is wonderfully central in the beautiful town of Egmond aan Zee on the North Sea coast of the Netherlands. Guests can walk to the sea in less than two minutes. The accommodation is perfect for anyone looking for a break by the sea, who enjoys being surrounded by nature and appreciates being close to the town centre. Interior at Etoile31

As soon as you enter the flat, you realise that it is suitable for families with babies and small children. Thanks to its ground-level location, it is barrier-free – perfect if guests are travelling with a pushchair or buggy. Free parking is available in the building’s own underground car park, which is connected to the accommodation by a lift. The flat was freshly renovated in December 2022 and boasts unique furnishings, lovely details, pleasant soft colours and a large terrace with sea views. In addition to two bedrooms, a baby cot is also available. There is space for a pushchair in the entrance area directly in front of the door. Amenities such as a Stokke high chair are available in the flat and make a family holiday so much easier.

The open-plan kitchen has a fridge and freezer, a cooking island with three bar stools and an oven so that families can cook and sit together. This is also possible in the dining area, which has enough space for everyone with four chairs. The entire flat is ideal for children, as they can play in the outdoor area and there are plenty of entertainment options in the neighbourhood.

There is a huge outdoor area with an exciting adventure playground for children. “Niew West” is the perfect destination for families who want to sit and enjoy a coffee and cake or a meal. Also highly recommended is the beach bar “Evi Beach”, just a four-minute walk away, which has perfectly adapted its boho style to the surroundings on the beach and impresses with its pleasant holiday atmosphere. Other catering options are also within walking distance, as supermarkets, cheese dairies, a smoked fish shop, a butcher and a bakery are also located in the town centre.

In addition to the tasteful furnishings, the fact that books and other reading material as well as a Bluetooth sound system are available for use is a particularly positive feature. If you want to work in this beautiful idyll, you can do so undisturbed with the free WiFi at the in-house workstation. Basic cooking equipment is also available, as is plenty of privacy in the outdoor area. Depending on the accommodation option booked, a balcony or private garden with a vegetable garden and beautiful wildflowers is available. Cosy evenings by the campfire are just as possible as dining al fresco. Guests arriving by car can use the car park on the property free of charge.

Things to do in the neighbourhood of Oostburg

Just a 10-minute walk away is the quaint café “In De Morelleput”, which serves a really great carrot cake and exudes a lot of charm. It is the ideal place to stretch your legs and enjoy coffee and cake in a cosy atmosphere.
For long walks on the beach or a summer swim, Nieuwvliet beach is just a 10-minute drive away.
Knokke is a 20-minute drive away, where you can enjoy a nice stroll. All the luxury brands are represented there and there are fantastic beach clubs to round off the evening with a sundowner. The beautiful city of Bruges is only 30 minutes away from Oostburg and is worth a day trip for its beautiful houses and colourful facades. It is not without reason that it is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its historic city centre. Dreamy alleyways, numerous museums and the possibility of romantic canal cruises make Bruges a very attractive destination for a day trip.
If the journey can take an hour, the Belgian harbour city of Antwerp is highly recommended. The famous Grote Markt is the “place to be” to start a city tour from this central location and the magnificent town houses will amaze day trippers.

Each participant is given their own alpaca to accompany them through the marvellous landscape.

After about two kilometres, holidaymakers also reach Norderney’s harbour, which is well worth seeing and can be the starting point of a great boat trip.

The Inselhouse Norderney attaches great importance to sustainability. Solar panels are used to heat the domestic water, the underfloor heating can be controlled separately for each room and the roof is greened with regional materials. This attracts native birds to nest and the animals can breed in a protected environment. Some of the flats allow dogs, which means that guests with four-legged friends are also very welcome.

Inselhouse Norderney: Leisure activities for the whole family

At and around the Inselhouse Norderney there are many possibilities for leisure activities to choose from. From the house, guests can use surfboards, beach chairs, handcarts, sand toys as well as bicycles if needed. The island is perfect to explore by bike. Flat cycle paths lead along the beach and to all the sights. The inner city area is restricted to motor vehicles, making it pleasant for bicycle tours. There are always great playgrounds along the beach, so a bike ride with the whole family is exciting and fun for everyone. Everyone can fortify themselves with coffee, hot chocolate and cake at the beach restaurant “Weiße Düne” and enjoy the view of the North Sea and the seagulls flying by from the panorama windows.

Not far from the Inselhouse is the Junkmann riding stable, which guests can reach after a 15-minute walk. Pony rides are offered daily for the little ones. Should the weather not play along, the accommodation has a modern playroom for the children. Adult guests, meanwhile, will find a change of pace in the well-equipped fitness room and the wellness area with sanarium, relaxation room and a Finnish sauna. Those who feel like sports and exercise can borrow the utensils for table tennis and play a round together with the family or other Inselhouse guests.

An absolute recommendation for the physical well-being is the surf café, which spoils guests with culinary delights at any time of the day. For traditional Nordic cuisine, the “Schmuggler” restaurant is a wonderful tip – however, a table reservation is advisable, as the restaurant rightly enjoys great popularity.
