Sail away with Opcija Tours!

I have been part of the Mrduja Regatta, which is one of the oldest regattas in Europe. All ships have to turn around an island called Mrduja Regatta and sail back to Split within a specific time frame. The race is 22 nautical miles long. Unfortunately, we had no wind for the first five hours and rarely moved. But it was still fun! Damir and Glorian entertained us, spoiled us with good wine & food and made us feel comfortable.

During the trip, you’ll come along islands and beautiful cities at the coast. The fantastic scenery let your dreams sail away… During the summer, you can jump into the water to cool off.

Don’t forget…

To wear the right shoes. You should not wear flip flops for example because it will be quite slippery on the boat.
To bring water, sun creme, a towel and sun glasses on a hot day.
To be on the boat on time in the morning. If you are late, it will be gone.
To take a pill if you are sensitive to boat movements.

Adiatic4you Fasten Ur Seatbelts Krak National Park

My day could not have started any better. 4coffee soul food served me the best latte with vanilla flavor. A bakery is just 100m away from the coffee shop.

Luckily, both shops are only 5 minutes walking distance from the pick up station for the Krka & Sibenik tour offered by Adriatic4you.

Darijo welcomed each of us very friendly, entertained us immensely during the bus ride and informed us about what we will see during the day. Our first stop was up the hill to take pictures of the fascinating panorama of Split.

Then we headed to the Krka national park. I cannot even describe what I have seen. Everything in the park is so magnificent and the waterfall is amazing. I haven’t seen something like that before. So pretty! Even though we were 29 people from around the world, Darijo made us all feel that we belong together, lead us through the park and let us know about all the important facts of the park. After the great tour through the park, we had a two hours break and could go for a swim or have lunch at the restaurant.

In the afternoon, we drove to Sibenik, which is with Primosten the most adorable places I have seen around Split. If you want to spend your holidays around Split, you have to stay at those places. Sibenik has a lovely little city centre. At vino&ino, I had a Hugo and relaxed for a bit before we were going back to town. You should not sleep on your way back because the drive home is also stunning. You will see so many islands and the coastline.

Zadar Walking Tour

I would not have found out so much about Zadar if I haven’t had the Zadar Walking Tour with Sime. He actually took us to the past and showed us places we would have never seen without him or did you know that one café in Zadar has a church inside or that a bank is located in a church? We did not just see Zadar’s beautiful churches such as church of St. Donat or Zadar cathedral but also Zadar’s city gate and the famous sea organs. Let Sime explain to you why Zadar’s city gate is about love, where you will find the best cheese, fruits and Zadar Maraschino.

Horse riding with Zzuum

One afternoon, I went horse riding, which was really exciting! I met Marina in the city centre and we drove with an e-scooter only a few kilometers away from Zadar city centre. I could decide if I want to ride through the forest, fields or even along the sea to enjoy the beautiful panorama. But for the first time I decided to stay at the fields. The horse, Lady, was really brave and calm. Marina is a great & wonderful guide! She knows loads of hidden places and loves her job. I will never forget the experience! If you would like to ride a horse, rent a bike or experience unique moments then you should book a tour with Zzuum.

Restaurants

Pet Bunara is a lovely place for having a tasty lunch or dinner. I had noodles with truffles and a white wine.

Another delightful restaurant is the Garden Lounge, which offers healthy and vegan food. The view from the bar/restaurant is gigantic and the atmosphere is really comfortable.

If you want to spend a day in a beach bar with comfy chairs or sun beds, you should go to Beach Bar Bamboo. The atmosphere, the food and drinks are great! The prices are great, too! A beach is right in front and next to the bar.

The Oktoberfest has already started. Do you have the perfect fitting dirndl? Do you know how long your dirndl should be or which colour or swatch it should have? But it is not only about the dirndl itself, the perfect look also needs matching shoes and accessories. To be on the safe side, I summarised you the most important facts for:

The traditional dirndl

The traditional dirndl is always an ideal choice and it is either knee- or full- length whereby the apron should be two or three centimetre longer than the hem of a skirt. A high-quality dirndl is made of cotton. If you want to buy a traditional dirndl, look for muted colours such as ruby or green.

Round up your look

As usual, the right selection of accessories rounds up your whole outfit. Depending on you taste you can combine your dirndl with a hat, bracelet, necklace, earrings, socks or a bag. I choose to wear a simple and small necklace.

Show colours

By now you all know dirndl are offered in almost every colour available, which means that there is something for each taste. Quite famous are pastel colours such as rose, light blue or mint green for example. The dirndl, which I wear in the picture, has no pastel colours. It is designed by Edelnice in green, black and purple. I prefer to have stronger colours because I look very pale in pastel colours.

Tie your bow right

Be aware of your bow! Having the bow on the wrong side can lead to misunderstandings or unpleasant situations. Here you have a brief overview of how to tie your bow:

Right-hand front side means that you are in a relationship
Left-hand front side means that you are single
In the middle of the front means that you are virgin
In the middle of the back means that you are widow.

Wearing comfortable shoes

I know that I wear heels in the pictures but I could not do that for a whole day on the Oktoberfest. I could not walk and dance on heels the whole day but of course, it depends on the person. Typically, you could wear Haferlschuh, ballerinas or ankle boots. It should just fit to the type of your dirndl.

What you shouldn’t do

Don’t forget your blouse. A blouse and bow belong to every garb. Furthermore, every blouse gives a special touch to your dirndl.
Don’t wear a dirndl that is too short.
Glitter pumps and chucks do not fit with a dirndl.
Neon colours or animal prints are not looking good!

It has been my first time in Zadar and I have been flushed by the old town. It is full of history and storytelling. But where is the best place to stay when you are in Zadar? During the summer time, it can be really crowded. Therefore I suggest you stay at Villa Diana Zadar. Villa Diana Zadar is only 15 minutes by foot to the old town and has everything you need in its surroundings. Furthermore, Villa Diana Zadar has the nicest receptionist, Martina, who I have ever met. Martina has super travel tips for Zadar!

Cleanliness is no expression for the freshness and purity of the apartments. The spacious apartments are very exquisite, classy and magnificent.

I loved the generous bathroom with a huge shower and bathtub. I did not mention the large mirrors in the bathroom and hall. The hall also has a walk-in closet.

The charming balcony is equipped with a table, two chairs and sunbeds. During my delicious breakfast, I was delighted by the amazing view of the old town. If you want to cook, you can use the kitchen in the apartment. The WIFI works perfectly too. Don’t worry, if you want to travel with your family or a group, Villa Diana Zadar has enough modern and beautiful apartments. Villa Diana Zadar also offers facilities for the disabled.

During the peak season, almost all hotels in Munich are fully booked and the prices for Airbnb flats are high, too. I found the ideal place for a trip to Munich.

Bavaria Motel, it is located in Freiham, which is around 15 minutes away from the main station. The Oktoberfest is only one station away from the main station, which means that you only need around 20 minutes to Theresienwiese. Even though the train station is only 2 minutes walking distance from Bavaria Motel, you won’t hear a noise. I especially enjoyed staying at Bavaria Motel because I got away from the crowds and liked the peace and quiet of Bavaria Motel.

Rooms

My room had the perfect size and with its modern Bavarian style I felt so comfortable! I haven’t had such a good WIFI in a hotel for a long time. The generous TV program entertained me every evening. The room equipment and cleanliness were lauded. In addition to the practically equipped room, a bathroom with a shower enclosure beautified my stay. The open shower will give you the right start in the day.

Breakfast

But not only will the open shower give you the right start in the day. The breakfast at Bavaria Motel is amazing. Beside the continental breakfast, Bavaria Motel offers typical Bavarian veal sausages, sweet mustard and pretzels. Platzhirsch Freiham also serves lunch and dinner.
