Your best 24 hours in Alicante
Die meisten von euch waren bestimmt auch schon ein Mal in Madrid oder Barcelona. Da Spanien und Italien zu meinen Favourites in Europa gehören, dachte ich mir, dass ich Spanien ein bisschen mehr erkunde. Also ging es für uns von Frankfurt aus nach Alicante! Natürlich habe ich meine Highlights wieder für euch zusammengefasst!
Most of you have probably been to Madrid or Barcelona. Since Spain and Italy are among my favorites in Europe, I thought that I would explore Spain a bit more. So we flew from Frankfurt to Alicante! Of course, I summarized my highlights for you!
Where to stay?
Wir haben uns dieses Mal für eine Wimdu Wohnung direkt am Plaza San Cristofol entschieden. So gerne ich in Hotels fahre, freue ich mich manchmal auch über keine festen Frühstückszeiten. Die Lage kann ich euch absolut nur empfehlen! Wir haben unser Auto direkt im Parkhaus 3 Gehminuten von unserer Wohnung entfernt geparkt für 12€ am Tag. In Alicante haben wir kein Auto benötigt, weil alles so nah an unserer Wohnung lag! Am besten gefallen hat mir, dass wir direkt an den engen Gassen voller Lokaler und der Abendszene gewohnt haben.
This time we decided to stay in a Wimdu apartment right on Plaza San Cristofol. As much as I like driving in hotels, sometimes I am happy there are no fixed breakfast times. I can absolutely recommend the apartment’s location. We parked our car in the parking garage, which is just a 3 minutes’ walk from our apartment for €12 per day. We did not need a car in Alicante because everything was so close to our apartment. I liked best that we lived directly on the narrow streets full of local and the evening scenes.
What to do?
Wenn ihr nicht viel Zeit habt, solltet ihr die folgenden Aktivitäten auch am besten in ähnlicher Reihenfolge machen.
If you do have much spare time, you should also do the following activities in a similar order.
Starting point
- Castle – Genießt einen unglaubliche Aussicht über Alicante! Von hier aus könnt ihr z.B. das Casino oder aber auch den Hafen sehen.
- Merkt euch, wo ihr den Hafen gesehen habt, denn hier geht es durch die kleinen Gassen und den Park… hinunter.
- Schaut euch am besten den Stadt Strand erstmal an und wenn ihr etwas Zeit habt, würde ich direkt ein paar Sonnenstrahlen mitnehmen
- Bleibt nicht zu lange in der Sonne, denn es lohnt sich die …. Runterzulaufen und dabei den Hafen mit seinen luxuriösen Schiffen zu beobachten.
- Zu guter Letzt darf die Haupteinkaufsstraße natürlich nicht fehlen!! Denkt immer daran, dass Zara und Mango um einiges günstiger sind in Spanien. Wenn ihr meine Instastories immer verfolgt, wisst ihr ja, dass ich ein riesen Zara-Fan bin.
Solltet ihr etwas mehr Zeit und gutes Wetter haben, fahrt auf jeden Fall zum Strand in San Juan. Der 10km weiße Sandstrand an der Costa Blanca lädt zum Entspannen und bräunen ein!
- Castillo de Santa – Enjoy incredible views over Alicante! From here, you can see the casino or the harbor.
- Remember, where you saw the harbor and walk down the narrow streets.
- Check out the city beach first and if you have some spare time, take a few rays of sunshine.
- Do not stay too long in the sun, because it is worthwhile to walk down the harbor promenade and observe the harbor with its luxurious ships.
- Last but not the least, the main shopping street should not be missed. Always remember that Zara and Mango are much cheaper in Spain. If you follow my instastories regularly, you will know that I’m a huge Zara fan.
If you have more spare time and a good weather, you should definitely go to the beach in San Juan, the 10km white sandy beach on the Costa Blanca invites you to relax and tan!
Where to eat!
- In Bocca Al Lupo – Der Italiener liegt mitten in einer der kleinen Gassen zwischen zahlreichen Restaurants aber sticht nicht nur vom Essen, sondern auch von der Optik heraus! Die Lage lässt euch gerade abends den ganzen Nachttrubel in Alicante beobachten!
- La Ereta – Diesen Hotspot dürft ihr euch bei einem Besuch in Alicante absolut nicht entgehen lassen! Warum? Weil ich kein anderes Lokal bei meiner vorherigen Recherche gefunden habe, dass über einen solchen Panoramablick verfügt. Da das Gebäude komplett aus Glas gebaut wurde, können auch alle 18 Tische den einzigartigen Blick genießen! Wir hatten ein traumhaftes 6-Gänge-Menü für 49€ pro Person! Den Weißwein aus Alicante werde ich mir Zuhause sofort bestellen! Leider kann ich die Aussicht nicht mit nach Hause nehmen! Ich bin ein großer Fan von einer Küche mit lokalen Produkten wie im Restaurant La Ereta! Die Kellner haben mir jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Besonders gefreut habe ich mich darüber, dass sie mir immer wieder von dem frisch gebackenen und köstlichen Brot etwas nachgelegt haben! La Ereta bietet sich für einen exklusiven und genüsslichen Abend im Herzen von Alicante an! Vergesst nicht zu reservieren!
- In Bocca Al Lupo – The Italian restaurant is located in the middle of one of the small streets between numerous restaurants but stands out, not only for the food, but also for the interior designs. This location lets you just watch the nights hustle and bustle in Alicante.
- La Ereta – Do not miss this hot spot when you visit Alicante. Why? Because I have not found any other restaurant in my previous research that has such a panoramic view. Since the building was made entirely of glass, all 18 tables can enjoy the unique view. We had a fantastic 6-menu for €49 per person. The white wine from Alicante I will order at home immediately! Unfortunately, I cannot take the view home. I’m a big fan of a kitchen with local products like the restaurant La Ereta. The waiters have me every wish from the lips read. I was particularly happy that they have always refilled me something of the freshly baked and delicious bread. La Ereta offers itself for an exclusive and enjoyable evening in the heart of Alicante.
Do not forget to book a table in advance!
How to experience the weird and wonderful cultures of Southeast Asia
A few years ago, I spent a few days in Koh Samui, and it’s safe to say that it was one of the greatest destinations I have ever visited – and I’ve been to countless destinations in over 38 countries! Because of this, I have become even more determined to check out what the rest of Southeast Asia has to offer. However, I’m keen to stray away from your everyday tourist traps and check out what the REAL areas of Southeast Asia have to offer. This is how to experience the weird and wonderful cultures of Southeast Asia if you want to try something new:
Meine erste Reise für meinen Instagram Account war vor ein paar Jahren nach Koh Samui. Obwohl ich schon in 38 unterschiedlichen Ländern war, hat Thailand mir besonders gefallen! Aus diesem Grund möchte ich auf jeden Fall noch erfahren, was der Rest von Südostasien zu bieten hat. Join the Thaipusam festival in Malaysia
If you’ve ever wanted to see what a traditional Hindu festival looks like, you might want to book your flights so you can check out the Thaipusam Festival. The epicenter of this festival takes place in Penang, but you’re going to have to prepare yourself for a long walk! Those involved in this festival shave their heads, carry a giant Hindu God on their shoulders and walk for miles in the name of pilgrimage. Although you don’t have to participate, it’s definitely something you have to see to believe.
Wenn ihr schon einmal sehen möchtet, wie ein traditionelles hinduistisches Festival aussieht, solltet ihr euch Direktflüge buchen, um das Thaipusam Festival zu besuchen. Das Epizentrum dieses Festivals findet in Penang statt, aber ihr müsst euch auf einen langen Spaziergang vorbereiten! Diejenigen, die an diesem Festival beteiligt sind, rasieren ihre Köpfe, tragen einen riesigen Hindu-Gott auf ihren Schultern und gehen kilometerweit im Namen der Pilgerfahrt.
Check out the street food in Cambodia
The food in Southeast Asia is notorious for being incredibly weird and wonderful – if a little bit odd! Although most of us would look at flies, grasshoppers and insects with an upturned nose and often run away from the critters, the people of Cambodia see this is dinner. In fact, one of their most favored delicacies is the Cambodian Tarantula. Despite the hairy legs, these fried tarantulas are considered a delicacy, so you just have to try it out.
Das Essen in Südostasien ist berüchtigt dafür, unglaublich komisch und wundervoll zu sein – wenn auch ein bisschen seltsam! Obwohl die meisten von uns Fliegen, Heuschrecken und Insekten mit einer umgedrehten Nase betrachten und oft von den Tieren weglaufen, sehen die Menschen in Kambodscha, dass es sich um ein Abendessen handelt. In der Tat ist eine der beliebtesten Delikatessen die kambodschanische Tarantula. Trotz der behaarten Beine gelten diese gebratenen Taranteln als Delikatesse! Probiert sie mal!
Walk past the Hanging Coffins in the Philippines
The Philippines is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, so it makes sense to explore the wild surroundings and check in on nature. If you ever find yourself walking through the impressive Eco-Valley, you might find yourself face to face with all kinds of caves and hanging coffins that adorn the rocks. These wooden boxes are precariously attached to the rock face and painted in all kinds of colors. In fact, it’s the definition of weird and wonderful.
Die Philippinen sind eines der schönsten Länder der Welt, daher ist es sinnvoll, die wilde Umgebung zu erkunden und in die Natur einzutauchen. Wenn ihr euch jemals durch das beeindruckende Eco-Valley bewegt, findet ihr euch möglicherweise mit allen Arten von Höhlen und hängenden Särgen, die die Felsen zieren, konfrontiert. Diese Holzkisten sind prekär an der Felswand befestigt und in allen möglichen Farben bemalt. In der Tat ist es die Definition von seltsam und wunderbar.
Go tubing in Laos
There are countless little villages in Southeast Asia, and they all have their own fun little activities to pass the time. In the village of Vang Vieng in Laos, these guys have found the perfect way to pass the time – and tourists are now getting in on the action. Many of their bars are located next to the beautiful waterways, and it’s not uncommon for revelers to grab themselves a rubber tube and float down the river with a beer in their hands. Join the locals for a drink and check out the countryside at the same time!

Es gibt unzählige kleine Dörfer in Südostasien, und alle haben ihre eigenen lustigen kleinen Aktivitäten, um die Zeit zu vertreiben. Im Dorf Vang Vieng in Laos haben diese Jungs den perfekten Weg gefunden, um die Zeit zu vertreiben – und die Touristen zu unterhalten. Viele ihrer Bars befinden sich neben den schönen Wasserstraßen, und es ist nicht ungewöhnlich für Nachtschwärmer, sich eine Gummiröhre zu schnappen und mit einem Bier in der Hand den Fluss hinunter zu schweben. Begleitet die Einheimischen zu einem Drink und schaut euch gleichzeitig die Landschaft an!
