Holiday park De Zeegser Duinen is a balm for the soul: it is located in the middle of the Drentsche Aa National Park, where guests stay in green surroundings and children travelling with them can develop in nature and play to their heart’s content, as the accommodation units as well as the entire complex offer enough space. 50 tastefully furnished suite lodges are available for four, six or eight people. Each unit enjoys plenty of privacy as well as its own sauna, and guests feel the incredible closeness to nature as soon as they enter the lodge. Spacious rooms, in which many natural materials have been used, radiate brightness and tranquillity. In the spacious kitchen, guests can cook together and eat at the outdoor dining table with a view of nature.
When guests step through the French doors into the outdoor area, a whirlpool, a fireplace and an outdoor kitchen for sunny days await them. If it should rain, the large roof provides shelter. In the private garden area, a fireplace rounds off the cosy ambience and the pleasant hours in the evening. After a relaxing dip in the Jacuzzi, holiday park guests can sit around the campfire, tell stories and roast marshmallows. Under the starry sky, the experiences of the holiday are exchanged and plans are made for the next day of travel.
Activities around the holiday park
In the park, it is possible to rent e-bikes or cargo bikes to explore the beautiful surroundings. Indoor and outdoor playgrounds are easily accessible and always a great idea to please the children. If you arrive at the holiday park by car, it’s only a 20-minute drive to Groningen or around 40 minutes to the Wildlands Adventure Zoo. Both destinations are highly recommended. Groningen is full of charm, small boutiques, cafés and restaurants, but well-known fashion chains are also represented here. The old town with its special flair invites you to take a stroll. Walks along the old warehouses on the canal are fantastic and the well-kept inner courtyards, which can be found everywhere in Groningen, invite you to take a little breather. For swimming trips, Lake Zuidlaardermeer can be reached in about 20 minutes and is pleasantly shallow for the most part. Guests of the holiday park can combine their bathing visit with a picnic full of Dutch delicacies to make a great day out.
