Kitzbühel Was kommt wohl den meisten in den Sinn, wenn sie von Kitzbühel hören?

Auch ich muss gestehen, bin etwas voreingenommen nach Kitzbühel gefahren. Daher war ich umso mehr überrascht von der kleinen idyllischen und urigen Innenstadt. Von Schickimicki ist zwischen den farbenfrohen Häusern und den wunderschön weihnachtlich dekorierten Straßen keine Spur.
Da ich im Sporthotel Reisch gewohnt habe, das direkt an der Innenstadt liegt, war ich auch fast tagtäglich in der Innenstadt shoppen oder auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt. Durch die Vielfalt an Geschäften und Restaurants ist für jedes Budget etwas dabei! Von unserem Hotel waren wir innerhalb 4 Gehminuten am Lift, der uns hoch zur Hahnenkammbahn gebracht hat. Keine Sorge! Das Gebiet in Kitzbühel besteht nicht nur aus der Hahnenkammbahn! Nicht ohne Grund bekommt das Kitzbüheler Skigebiet jedes Jahr zahlreiche Auszeichnungen! Ich bin immer noch begeistert von den zahlreichen und langen Pisten mit einem traumhaften Panorama!
Sollte es euch also nach Kitzbühel ziehen, habe ich natürlich wieder ein paar Tipps für euch!
Where to stay?
Die Gehfaulen unter uns sind im Sporthotel Reisch genau richtig! Nichts ist weiter als 3-4 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt. Das Auto kann man also den ganzen Urlaub lang stehen lassen! Theoretisch müsste man bei dem Angebot im Hotel noch nicht mal das Hotel verlassen. Angefangen vom ausgiebigen traditionellen & köstlichen Frühstück, über den lauschigen Wellnessbereich bis hin zum Abendessen, findet man alles im Sporthotel Reich. Die geräumigen und gemütlichen Zimmer sorgen für lange erholsame Tage und Nächte!
Where to eat?
Franzl – Shoppen und schlemmern? Das geht? Ja! Beim Franzl, das lockere und moderne Café, bekommt ihr einen hervorragenden Apfelstrudel und könnt während ihr chillt coole Sportswear und Streetwear kaufen! Ab und zu wird das Franzl abends auch zur Bar!
Huberbrau Stubl – Schnelle, traditionelle & preiswerte Küche! Nicht umsonst auf Platz 1 bei Tripadvisor!
Rosis’s Sonnenbergstuben – Wenn ihr in Kitzbühel seid, ist Rosis’s Sonnenbergstuben ein MUSS! Die Kellner Nico und Axel sorgen nicht nur für ein kulinarisches Highlight, sondern auch für einen super unterhaltsamen Abend! Für mich hätte der Abend schon nicht besser beginnen können, als mit der Empfehlung des Aperitifs. Wie sagte Axel so schön: „Hugo und Aperol kennt jeder!“ Deswegen müsst ihr nach dem Aperitif mit Gin fragen und viele Grüße von mir bestellen! Ich hätte ihn nie von alleine bestellt, aber er hat genau meinen Geschmack getroffen! Essenstechnisch könnt ihr bei keiner Bestellung etwas verkehrt machen! Wir hatten eine Jausenplatte, ein Käsefondue und den legendären Kaiserschmarrn! Mir wurde gesagt, dass man ohne einen Kaiserschmarrn Rosis’s Alm nicht verlassen kann! Zu Recht! Sollte es frisch geschneit haben oder glatt sein, empfehle ich euch mit dem Taxi oder mit Ketten hochzufahren! Die Fahrt zu Rosis ist aufgrund der schicken Nachbarschaft und der Aussicht auch ein Highlight!

Ich habe von Canon für meine Reise nach Kitzbühel die spiegellose Canon EOS M100 zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen, um sie zu testen. Sie ist ideal für unterwegs, da sie sehr handlich ist und tolle Tagesaufnahmen macht! Allerdings kann ich sie nicht für die Dämmerung und Nachtbilder empfehlen, da bleibe ich dann meiner Canon EOS 750D treu.

What comes to mind when you hear about Kitzbühel?

I must confess, I drove a bit biased to Kitzbühel. Therefore, I was even more surprised by the small idyllic and quaint downtown. There is no trace of Glamerous between the colorful houses and the beautifully decorated Christmas streets.
Since I lived in the Sporthotel Reisch, which is located directly in the city center, I was also shopping almost every day in the city center or at the Christmas market. The variety of shops and restaurants have something for every budget. From our hotel, we needed about 4 minutes to the ski lift, which has brought us up to the famous “Streif”. Do not worry! The ski area in Kitzbühel does not only consist of the “Streif”.
It is not without reason that the Kitzbühel ski area receives numerous awards every year. I am still excited about the numerous and long slopes with a wonderful panorama.
So if you’re planning to visit Kitzbühel, I have some useful tips for you.
Where to stay?
The lazy feet among us are just right in the Sporthotel Reisch. Nothing is further than 3-4 minutes from the hotel, so you can leave the car for the whole holiday! Theoretically, you would not have to leave the hotel because of the offers in the hotel. Starting with the extensive traditional and delicious breakfast, over the cozy spa area to dinner, you will find everything at the Sporthotel Reich. The spacious and cozy rooms ensure long relaxing days and nights.
Where to eat?
Franzl– shopping and feasting? This works out? Yes! At Franzl, the casual and modern café, you’ll get an excellent apple strudel and chill out while you buy cool sportswear and streetwear. From time to time, Franzl also becomes a bar in the evening.
Huberbrau Stubl – Fast, traditional & inexpensive cuisine. It is on # 1 Tripadvisor for a reason!
Rosis’s Sonnenbergstuben – When you’re in Kitzbühel, Rosis’s Sonnenbergstuben is a must! The waiters, Nico and Axel, not only provide a culinary highlight but they also ensure the guests have a super entertaining evening. Personally, the evening could not have started any better than with the recommendation of the aperitif. As Axel said so beautifully: “Everyone knows Hugo and Aperol!” That’s why you have to ask for the aperitif with Gin and many greetings from me. I would never have ordered it by myself, but met my taste. You cannot do anything wrong with any order as everything is delicious! We had a snack plate, a cheese fondue, and the legendary Kaiserschmarrn. I was told that you cannot leave Rosis’s Alm without a Kaiserschmarrn and this is so true! If it has snowed or been smooth, I recommend you take a taxi or chains up! The drive to Rosis is also a highlight because of the chic neighborhood and the view.

I got the mirrorless Canon EOS M100 from Canon for my trip to Kitzbühel to test it. It is ideal for traveling, as it is very handy and makes great daily shots. However, I cannot recommend it for the twilight and night pictures, so I will stay true to my Canon EOS 750D.
