Milan is well-known for its fine designer boutiques and as an Italian fashion high-rise. However, there are much more to discover here. I’ll show you 7 good reasons why a trip to Milan is always worth it:
Mailand ist vielen für seine edlen Designboutiquen und als Italiens Mode-Hochburg bekannt. Jedoch gibt es hier noch viel mehr zu entdecken. Ich zeige euch heute 7 gute Gründe, warum Mailand immer eine Reise wert ist:
1. It is fast and cheap to reach. The flight from Cologne to Bergamo at Ryanair costs only 9 €, and the connecting bus to Milan is 5 €. The journey takes only 35 minutes. You can fly, not only from Cologne to Bergamo with Ryanair, but also from many other cities. At my departure on Monday morning were about 20 (if not more!) Ryanair Flyer at the airport.
A weekend ticket for all public transport within Milan costs € 8.25, which at first sight looks like a lot. I guarantee you, however, that you will forget the slightly higher price after the first ride with an old and h
istoric Milan tram.
…weil es schnell und preiswert zu erreichen ist. Der Flug von Köln nach Bergamo kostet bei Ryanair nur 9 €, und der Anschluss-Bus nach Mailand 5 €. Die Fahrt dauert lediglich 35 Minuten. Ihr könnt nicht nur von Köln nach Bergamo mit Ryanair fliegen, sondern auch von vielen anderen Städten. Bei meinem Abflug am Montagmorgen standen ca. 20 Ryanair (wenn nicht sogar mehr!) Flieger am Flughafen. Ein Wochenendticket für alle öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel innerhalb Mailands kostet 8,25 €, was auf den ersten Blick nach einer Menge aussieht. Ich garantiere euch jedoch, dass ihr den etwas höheren Preis schon nach der ersten Fahrt mit einer alten und historischen Mailänder Straßenbahn vergessen werdet.
2. The Milan cathedral with its many towers is unique. It is the main attraction of Milan and really worth seeing! Do not forget to climb up the stairs or the elevator onto the accessible roof if the snake is not too long. The view is magnificent! The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a must. In the shopping mall, there is everything that has rank and name.
…weil der Mailänder Dom mit seinen vielen Türmchen einzigartig ist. Er ist DIE Hauptattraktion Mailands und wirklich sehenswert! Vergesst nicht, über die Treppe bzw. den Aufzug auf das begehbare Dach hochzufahren, wenn die Schlange nicht zu lange ist. Der Ausblick ist herrlich!
Direkt daneben solltet ihr unbedingt die Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II besuchen. In der Einkaufspassage befindet sich alles, was Rang und Namen hat.
3. Because Milan also has a small “Venice”: At the end of the 50 km long Naviglio Grande (canal), there are several pubs and restaurants. Originally, the Naviglio combined Milan with Lake Maggiore, but transport was discontinued in the 1960s.
…weil Mailand auch ein kleines „Venedig“ hat: Am Ende des 50 km langen Naviglio Grande (Kanal) befinden sich etliche Kneipen und Restaurants. Ursprünglich verband der Naviglio Mailand mit dem Lago Maggiore, der Transportverkehr wurde jedoch in den 1960er Jahren eingestellt.
4. Because you are pampered with pizza, pasta and vino. My tip for you: The great Italian AmaMi Ristorante! It combines a modern location with the magical ambiance of Milan! The restaurant is quiet and the staffs are very attentive. I recommend Chef’s Senator Cappelli ravioli stuffed with goat’s cheese and black truffle. Very, very delicious! In good weather, you should take the chance and sit outside.
…weil man mit Pizza, Pasta und Vino überall verwöhnt wird. Mein Tipp für euch: Das tolle italienische AmaMi Ristorante! Es verbindet eine moderne Location mit dem zauberhaften Ambiente Mailands! Das Restaurant ist ruhig gelegen und das Personal sehr aufmerksam. Ich empfehle euch: Chef’s Senator Cappelli Ravioli mit Ziegenkäse und schwarzem Trüffel gefüllt. Sehr, sehr lecker! Bei gutem Wetter solltet ihr die Chance ergreifen, und draußen sitzen.
5. Because Milan has the sweetest temptations: Delicious gelato & waffles at cioccolati italiani! The chain has several cafes in Milan and it is definitely worth a visit! But beware! Not every café serves the crêpes in the waffle. You should definitely not miss the cold Marocchino Freddo for only 2.20 €! It’s an absolute MUST!
…weil Mailand die süßesten Versuchungen hat: Leckeres Gelato & Waffeln bei cioccolati italiani! Die Kette besitzt mehrere Cafés in Mailand und ist definitiv einen Besuch wert! Aber Achtung! Nicht jedes Café serviert den Crêpes in der Waffel. Ihr solltet euch auf alle Fälle nicht den kalten Marocchino Freddo für nur 2,20 € entgehen lassen! Ein absolutes MUSS!
6. Because you can shop in Milan 7 days a week! Around the cathedral, you can find all brands, but you should definitely not miss a trip to Corso Cosmo. From there, you can easily stroll to the new and modern shopping street and Piazza Gae Aulenti.
…weil man in Mailand 7 Tage die Woche shoppen kann! Rund um den Dom findet ihr zwar alle Marken, ihr solltet allerdings auf keinen Fall einen Trip zum Corso Cosmo verpassen. Von dort aus könnt ihr bequem zur neuen und modernen Einkaufsmeile und zum Piazza Gae Aulenti schlendern.

…weil man über den Dächern Mailands wohnen kann. Über Wimdu findet man viele günstige Privatunterkünfte, die man dort direkt buchen kann. Ich habe ein traumhaftes Appartement im 5. Stock gefunden, von dessen Balkon ich einen super Ausblick auf die Dächer Mailands erhalten habe.
