Dank meinem Blog bin ich nicht nur viel unterwegs, sondern lerne auch immer wieder neue Leute kennen! Jedoch sind immer wieder die ersten Fragen in einem Gespräch: „Wie seid ihr denn hergekommen“ oder „Was machst du beruflich?“
Am Anfang habe ich mich nicht immer getraut die Frage zu beantworten, da das „bloggen“ doch immer noch sehr belächelt wird! Häufig kommen Reaktionen wie: „Ah ok, ihr macht also ein paar Bilder und das wars.“ Ja, genau! Manchmal wäre es schön, wenn es so einfach wäre! Mir kommt es sowieso nie anstrengend oder viel vor, weil ich liebe, was ich mache!
Thanks to my blog, not only am I traveling a lot but also I am always getting to know new people. However, the first few questions asked in a conversation are always such as, “Why are you here?” or “What are you doing professionally?”
In the beginning, I did not always dare to answer the latter question, because the “blogging business” is still very scoffed at. Often reactions are like “Ah, so you make some pictures and that’s it?” Yes, exactly! Sometimes it would be nice if it was that easy though. Anyways, it never strikes me as a difficult job, because I love what I do.
Einen festen Alltag gibt es als Reiseblogger nicht! Aber ich beschreibe euch einen Tag von meinem Aufenthalt in dem wunderschönen Boutique Hotel Ca‘s Xorc auf Mallorca. Die in Sóller gelegene Oase hat uns die Arbeit natürlich ziemlich leicht gemacht, da wir nicht auf die Suche nach einem perfekten Spot gehen mussten! Hier ist wirklich jede Ecke ein Traum!
In der Regel stehe ich also zwischen 6 und 7 Uhr auf. Bevor ich mich fertig mache, beantworte ich noch Kommentare, Nachrichten und E-Mails und plane die Bilder für den Tag.
Gegen 9 Uhr gehts dann zum Frühstück und wir versuchen immer den besten Platz zu ergattern. Wenn er gerade besetzt ist, warten wir auch gerne. 🙂 Im Hotel Ca‘s Xorc konnten wir uns allerdings überall hinsetzen, da man von jedem Platz das Meer und die Berge genießen kann!
Jetzt heißt es: alle Leckereien holen und den Tisch schön herrichten. Danach wird das Bild geschossen. Das kann 5 Minuten oder aber auch 1 Stunde dauern. In der Regel essen wir fast immer kalt. Was bei einem Frühstück aber kein Problem ist! Mir fiel eher das Warten richtig schwer! Das frische Bircher Müsli, das Obst und die Käse- und Wurstplatte sehen nicht nur auf dem Bild so gut aus, sondern auch in der Realität und schmecken auch noch unwahrscheinlich gut! Eierspezialitäten können natürlich noch dazu bestellt werden!
Nach dem Frühstück haben wir ungefähr 150 Bilder geschossen und eins wird veröffentlicht.
A solid everyday life cannot exist as a travel blogger. But I will describe one day from my stay at the beautiful boutique hotel Ca’s Xorc in Mallorca. Of course, the oasis in Sóller made the job pretty easy for us, as we did not have to go looking for a perfect spot. Here every corner is really a dream!
I usually get up between 6 and 7 o’clock in the morning. Before I get ready, I answer to comments, messages, emails and then plan the pictures for the day.
At around 9 o’clock we go to eat the breakfast and we always try to get the best place. If a place is currently busy, we readily wait for our turn 🙂 In the hotel Ca’s Xorc we could sit down anywhere and can still enjoy the view of the sea and the mountains from every seat.
Then it’s time to fetch all the goodies and prepare the table nicely. Then the picture will be taken. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes but sometimes it also takes around an hour. eGenerally, we almost always eat cold food, which is not too bad for breakfast. The wait was really hard as the fresh Bircher Muesli, the fruit and cheese platter, and the sausage plate looked not only so good in the picture, but also was delectable in reality. Egg specialties can, of course, be ordered.After the breakfast, we shot about 150 pictures and one of them will be published on my Instagram account.
Wie gesagt im Hotel gab es so viele traumhaften Ecken, dass wir kein Outfit mit uns schleppen mussten und alle Bilder vor Ort schießen konnten.
3 Outfits später und 3 Spots weiter haben wir 3 weitere Bilder für euch. Währenddessen werden noch Videos für die Instastory gedreht und Fragen von anderen Gästen beantwortet. Wir sind immer die, „die den ganzen Tag nur Bilder machen.“
Am Nachmittag machen natürlich auch wir mal eine Pause, posten ein Bild und entspannen am Infinity Pool mit dem atemberaubenden Blick! Bevor es zurück in unser Zimmer ging, haben wir noch einen kurzen Abstecher in den Whirlpool gemacht und einen Spaziergang durch die grüne Oase.
As I said in the hotel, there were so many wonderful corners that we had to carry a number of outfits with us and had to shoot all the pictures on site.
3 outfits later and 3 spots further we had 3 more pictures for you. Meanwhile, videos are being shot for the Instagram story and questions from other guests have been answered. We are always the ones “who only take pictures all day.”
In the afternoon, we, of course, took a break, posted a picture and relaxed at the infinity pool with a breathtaking view. Before we went back to our room, we took a quick dip in the hot tub and walked through the green oasis.
Zurück in unserem Mallorquinischen Zimmer haben wir nochmal Bilder von unserem gemütlichen Himmelbett und dem Zimmerausblick aufgenommen. In meiner Story habe ich für euch wie immer eine kurze Tour gemacht und euch auch das Ankleidezimmer gezeigt. Ein Traum! Ich liebe es, wenn ich mein Gepäck nicht sehe!
Jetzt wird sich noch ein letztes Mal für das Abendessen umgezogen und die „Foodkamera“ kommt natürlich mit zum Dinner.
Der einzigartige Blick während den kulinarischen Feinheiten raubt einem
schon den Atem. Aber auch das Essen lässt einem das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen. Ob die Vorspeise mit Lachs, unsere Paella mit Hummer oder die Crème Brûlée als Nachspeise waren alle ein Genuss für den Gaumen und die Kamera!
Back in our Mallorcan room, we took pictures of our cozy four-poster bed and the room view. In my story, as always, I did a short tour for you and also showed you the dressing room, which is a dream as I love it when I do not have to see my luggage around.
Then for one last time for the dinner, we changed and the “food camera” was, of course, a part of the dinner. The unique view of the culinary delicacies robs one of their breath. And, the food makes your mouth water. Whether the starter with salmon, paella with lobster or the Crème brûlée as a dessert they were all a treat for the palate and the camera.
Gegen 22 Uhr ist der Tag für uns natürlich nicht vorbei. Erst jetzt kann ich alle Bilder begutachten und bearbeiten. E-Mails werden nochmal beantwortet und ich mache mir Notizen für meinen Artikel. Gegen Mitternacht mache auch ich Feierabend und freue mich auf meinen nächsten Arbeitstag!

Of course, the day is not over for us at 10 pm, no, I review and edit all the images. E-mails are answered again and I take notes for my article. Around midnight, I’m finished working and looking forward to my next working day.
