Fashion, Sun and Beach: That’s why you should fly to Málaga

Malaga, Spain, Fasten Ur Seatbelts

Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca or Ibiza are the typical hotspot destinations in Spain and probably already known to all of you. This year, I also decided to explore the other Spanish cities. Recently, I was in Alicante and Valencia, and now I’m going to Malaga. The mix of old town, port city, culinary diversity and wonderful city beaches attract more and more tourists. Nevertheless, is not nearly as crowded as the other Spanish cities!

I have summarized the best addresses for a short trip to Malaga.

A woman favorite activities

A nice starting point is Calle Liborio García. Here, you will find all the brands you need. I mention it in most of my articles … Remember that Zara and Mango are much cheaper in Spain! Another reason to fly to Malaga 🙂 After a “short” shopping trip we went already further to the cathedral. On the way to the cathedral, you pass numerous bistros, where you should stop by for a glass of wine and tapas! We paid only €5 for our siesta/Fiesta (2 wine and nachos with guacamole), which was usually the average price in the area.

After admiring the beautiful cathedral, we went further towards the famous fortress “Alcazaba.” Despite the felt 40 degrees, we have made it to about the middle viewing platform, and every step up was worth the view. Besides, if we had not gone up here, we would never have discovered the rooftop terrace of the Alcazaba! Here, you can enjoy not only the view but also the pleasant cocktail prices and the good atmosphere!

Of course, our day is not over yet! Since our hotel “Barceló Malaga” is right next to the main train station, it is super easy to reach. Also, the airport is only 30 minutes away by train. Attention! There are many welcoming shops in the station. We did not make it without shopping again… So if you do not want to go shopping again, go over the main entrance to the cool & modern hotel. For the first time in my life, I saw a slide in a hotel from the first floor to the lobby. Cool! Of course, I had to test it immediately after my arrival. It’s worth it!

But back to our evening plan! After a long day at the fresh air, I like having a delicious dinner and then a short way to bed like the bar and the restaurant El Anden in the hotel “Barceló Malaga.” I went well satiated after an extensive 3-course menu in our lovely double room!

Also for breakfast, I did not have it far on Sunday morning! Whether smoothies, Spanish tapas, Prosecco orgua camole, we got everything we love! After so many delicacies, I had first to sunbathe on the roof terrace with great views over the entire city and swim in the pool. Here you live in any case stylish and central!

Sun, beach & sea

After our late check-out, we still had a lot of time until our flight back to Dusseldorf and of course, we wanted to go to the beach. Within 7 minutes, we were at the city beach, Playa de La Malagueta. Between all the locals, I felt like one and took the Spanish siesta!

In the evening, we went back home again. Attention! No flights are called at the airport. We almost missed our own!

Vorsicht! Am Flughafen werden keine Flüge ausgerufen. Wir hätten unseren dadurch fast verpasst!
